A Wee Birthday Trip to Montreal

July 23, 2012

Every year for my birthday, we take a trip. So, here we have it, 35. We decided to ring it in a few days early in Montreal. First stop, cider vineyards – went and had a tasting (and purchase) at Cidrerie du Minot. We stayed at Le Petit Hotel in Old City and it was just a charming little place. The exposed brick and view of the street were my favorites. Other things we did: biked all over the city, ate poutine and French food, went to a beautiful market, went to Notre Dame where we got a tour and lit a candle, walked everywhere, and were generally too exhausted to go shopping. So we bought maple syrup before going home (it just seemed right).
